PORTFOLIO: PRIMARY: Asgard

This waterfront house in Medina, Washington has an entry courtyard, a front elevation, and a floor plan rooted in classical traditions. The lake side of the house opens to the site by means of a dramatic and contemporary change in scale of the windows. Interior detailing continues the theme of classical forms expressed in contemporary ways. A broad overhanging roof of slate tiles unifies the form under its sheltering gesture.
