PORTFOLIO: PRIMARY: Overlake Drive

Located on the shores of Lake Washington, this house sits atop a sloping waterfront site with fine views across the lake to the west. In addition to the owner’s request for a traditional home, the slope of the site and the strict height limitations influenced the design. The spatial center of the house is the circular main entry hall, which contains a dramatic staircase leading to the second floor under a domed skylight.
