PORTFOLIO: PRIMARY: Tidewater

Tidewater is a coastal home situated where a tidal estuary meets the Atlantic Ocean. Through its solar orientation and rain collection systems, the house receives the natural gifts of its site. State of the art green construction techniques are used to maximize the energy efficiency of the house. The basic form of the house is a 24' square, keeping the design contained within a compact space for efficiency of both form and function. The design evokes the austerity of traditional New England architectural forms with careful attention to balanced proportions and simplicity.
